OSIRIS is the engine of Open Shadows—a growing network of researchers, subject-matter experts, and digital operatives from targeted communities and their allies.
We run missions, gather evidence, and confront threats to our right to live freely and safely in America. Using every tool at our disposal, we help expose the networks, narratives, and power players behind extremist movements and the authoritarian unraveling of democracy.

Authoritarianism is rising. Extremists organize in plain sight, free to hate. Institutions meant to protect us are complicit. OSIRIS shifts the balance of power, arming communities with intelligence, disrupting harm wherever we find it, and going on the offensive against the enemies of We the People–ALL the people.
WHAT WE COVER
OSIRIS operates tightly-scoped digital missions designed to address threats as they emerge.
Every mission is shaped by the needs of the communities we serve—LGBTQ+ communities, immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, racial, ethnic and religious minorities, and all others targeted by hate or state abuse. From tracking extremist networks to mapping disinformation campaigns or exposing law enforcement abuses, we focus our efforts where the risk is real and the impact matters.
